Apostille

APOSTILLE

Italy and the United States of America, among other countries, signed the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 (enforced by Italy on December 13, 1977 and by the United States on October 15, 1981).

Under the terms of this Convention the Consulate does not legalize official documents issued in the United States. Legalization is provided by the Secretary of State, in the State where the document was originated, by issuing the Apostille. Following are addresses and contacts of the Secretary of State offices of the four States covered by this Consulate General of Italy in Houston.
