COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF PALERMO AND THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MEDICAL BRANCH

On March 28, 2011, the University of Palermo and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston signed a cooperation agreement to promote exchanges and cooperation in scientific sectors of mutual interest. This agreement envisages exchanges of teachers and researchers to further studies on teachings and research as well as the mobility of students, the organization of symposium, conferences, meetings, courses and joint researches on specific subjects.

This agreement, which is featured in the final document of the Conference of Italian Researchers in the world held in Houston on December 4, 2010, stems from the signature of a Protocol between the Confederation of Sicilians in North America (CSNA), Italy’s Ente per il Diritto allo Studio and the University of Palermo. The signature of this agreement was made possible thanks to the support from CSNA, the Committee for Italians Abroad-Comites and the Consulate General of Italy in Houston, as well as from academic personalities both in Galveston and Palermo.
