2013 YEAR OF ITALIAN CULTURE IN THE UNITED STATES: AUSTIN LYRIC OPERA PRESENTS VERDI'S

Austin Lyric Opera presents Verdi's Don Carlos at the  Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, Texas, on November 16-24

Politics, love, and family loyalties are tested in this epic love triangle involving a tyrannical king, a despairing prince, and an innocent young woman. 

Featuring some of Giuseppe Verdi’s most stunning compositions, Don Carlos is the dramatic story of powerful people who must all accept their role as pawns in a tragic destiny.  

Austin Lyric Opera is presenting Don Carlos for the first time, in celebration of the bicentennial of Verdi’s birth.
