ITALY'S ENEL GREEN POWER INAUGURATES TWO WIND FARMS IN OKLAHOMA

Oklahoma City, September 11 - Enel Green Power hosted in the Oklahoma State Capital a ceremony for the formal inaguration of its two wind farms in Chisholm View and Rocky Ridge, operational respectively since June and December 2012. The ceremony was attended by Francesco Starace, CEO of EGP, and Francesco Venturini, CEO of EGP North America, who were accompanied by senior EGP officials, the Consul General of Italy in Houston Fabrizio Nava, the Secretary of State of Oklahoma Larry V. Parman and other officials.

Chisholm View and Rocky Ridge are among the most relevant investments ever made by an Italian company in the State of Oklahoma. The two wind farms were made with an investment of over $ 600 million and have a combined production of 285 MW thanks to 233 turbines with the capacity to supply energy to over 125,000 US households and to prevent the release of 970,000 tonnes of CO2 in the atmosphere every year.

The event was centered around the reception and gala dinner hosted by EGP at the Oklahoma Museum of Art, which hosts the exhibit Of Heaven and Earth: 500 Years of Italian Art from the Glasgow Museums. EGP, which is one of the relevant sponsors of 2013 Year of Italian Culture in the United States, paired the inauguration of its investment to one of the most significant Oklahoma events in the calendar of the Year of Italian Culture.
Consul General Nava highlighted in his address that the Year of Italian Culture in the United States does not just aim at fostering a better knowledge of Italian heritage but also to promote a better awareness of contemporary Italy, as shown by the pairing of an important art exhibit with the inauguration of a major investment in new technologies by an Italian company. Secretary of State Larry Parman and EGP CEO Francesco Starace both underscored the relevance of this moment in the development of stronger ties between Italy and Oklahoma.

Together with the event in Oklahoma City, EGP organized two distinct dedication ceremonies in Chisholm View and Rocky Ridge, with the participation of the local community.
