HOUSTON: ANTONIO VIVALDI'S MUSIC ON STAGE FOR TWO SPRING PERFORMANCES

Mercury: The Orchestra Redefined presents two performances dedicated to the great Venetian Antonio Vivaldi, one of the greatest and best known baroque composers.

On March 28 Mercury will present Dreams and Nightmares, an evening of fanciful and ominous concertos featuring Vivaldi’s recorder concerto, La Notte “The Night,” Telemann’s “Don Quixote” Suite and Purcell’s “The Fairy Queen.” On recorder, Kathryn Montoya will be joining the Orchestra, led by Maestro Antoine Plante. The concert will be performed at the Cullen Theater at the Wortham Center in Downtown Houston.

On April 5th through April 12th Mercury will stage Vivaldi Extravaganza, an inspiring program of Concertos and sinfonias by Antonio Vivaldi. Don’t miss an opportunity to hear more from the versatile composer of the Four Seasons.  The concert will be performed at four diverse venues in the greater Houston area beginning April 5th through April 12th.
