Scholarships MAECI-Accademia d'Arti e Mestieri dello Spettacolo Teatro alla Scala (academic year 2019-2020).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) has established over the years a fruitful and appreciated collaboration relationship with the Teatro alla Scala Academy of Arts and Crafts, an institution that plays a primary role in the education sector of live entertainment and has always pursued a policy of international openness, which is realized through the reception of students from all over the world. This relationship is formalized every year through an agreement. The offer of two distinct types of scholarships for the academic year 2019-2020 follows from this.

The first offer concerns n. 11 scholarships of 9 months each for young foreign opera singers who will pass the selection tests for attending the specialization course in opera singing organized by the Academy. The scholarships start from January 1st, 2020 and the monthly purse amounts to € 900.00. The publication of the notice is imminent on the Academy's website; it will be possible to apply as of 4 September p.v. until 11 October p.v.

The second offer is of n. 5 scholarships for attending the Master in "Performing Arts Management", whose announcement will remain open until September 4th, 2019 for candidates from countries outside the EU and up to October 1st, 2019 for candidates from EU countries. October 1st is the date by which it is possible to apply for the scholarship offered by the MAECI. The 5 scholarships will have a duration of 6 months starting from January 1st, 2020 and a monthly purse of € 900.00. The aim of the Master is to prepare high-level professionals with specific managerial and economic skills for the world of live entertainment.

For both calls, see the website of the Teatro alla Scala Academy of Arts and Crafts at the page: https://www.accademialascala.it/news/guida-iscrizione-selezioni. On the same site, interested parties may submit their application.

Both the masters of the master and those of the specialization course in opera singing will have to provide independently to take out an insurance policy against illnesses and accidents.
