For security reasons, in order to primarily protect the users of the Consulate General of Italy in Houston as well as all the staff on duty here, we inform the public that:
Only those who personally need the provision of the consular service will be admitted to the Consulate. Relatives, friends or other companions will not be allowed into the building. An exception will be made only in the case of parents of a minor and people accompanying people with disabilities. Situations of proven necessity will be assessed individually by the security personnel and, where necessary, by the Consul or the Consul General.
It is recommended to bring with you and show at the entrance the summoning email from the consular office. If you do not have the convocation email, entry may not be permitted.
In reiterating that the measures listed above are intended to ensure a better service and greater safety for users, we apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
Access to the Consulate is permitted depending on the capacity of the waiting rooms and the availability of seats. The discretion on the turnout is left to the Surveillance staff who will carry out the security checks.
Animals of all kinds, even small ones, are not allowed.
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED:
– Large suitcases;
– Weapons of all kinds;
– Razor blades, box cutters, knives, scissors, martial arts equipment, swords and cutlasses;
– Devices to stun or immobilize;
– Chemicals, gases, pepper sprays, tear gas, acids, and animal repellants;
– Objects with a sharp point or sharp edge;
– Work tools;
– Containers under pressure;
– Fireworks and other pyrotechnic articles;
– Perfumes, deodorants and shaving foams;
– Sprays of all kinds, flammable and non-flammable;
– Food and drinks of all kinds (including sealed or unsealed bottles of water);
– Sport equipment;
– Arduino, Raspberry, Flipper zero, Marauder, HackRF One and similar boards;
– Laser pointers;
– Helmets and helmets;
– Photo tripods;
– Bicycles of all kinds, electric and non-electric scooters, segways and monowheels;
– Closed or sealed parcels or packages will be opened for inspection;
– Umbrellas (small or large) must be deposited in the appropriate containers near the entrance.
