Our jurisdiction covers over 45 million people, this means we are often booked out for several weeks in advance. The online appointment-booking system, https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it<\/a>, holds all the appointments offered by this Consulate.<\/p>\n

You are required to submit the necessary documents (such as flight tickets, lodging reservations, etc.) at your appointment. You do not need to have the requirements when you book the appointment. Please book the trip (lodging and flights) only after securing an appointment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are resident in this jurisdiction (TX, LA, AR, OK) you cannot<\/strong> apply at a different Consulate.<\/p>\n

All the Visa services are provided by the Houston office.<\/p>\n

READ CAREFULLY!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Each applicant MUST book an appointment for a SCHENGEN VISA<\/strong> through our booking system: https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/<\/a>. If you cannot find an appointment, please check on the calendar after 5 pm since the system gets updated and new appointments might be available. Email inquiries about appointments will NOT be considered.<\/strong><\/p>\n

THIS IS THE ONLY LEGITIMATE PROCESS FOR BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT TO OBTAIN A SCHENGEN VISA.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please be reminded that each appointment must be booked directly by the applicant<\/strong>, in order to ensure fair and equal access to the booking system.\u00a0Improper practices<\/strong> will be sanctioned by the Office, including cancellation of the appointment<\/strong> and blocking of the associated account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Visa Office reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any appointment at its discretion and without prior notice.<\/p>\n

Each application is independent<\/u>, therefore each Applicant is required to book an appointment and to bring a complete set of documents (ex. a family of 4 people = 4 sets of documents). Multiple Applications with only one set of documents will not be accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants that want their passport to be returned via mail must provide a prepaid mail envelope<\/span> along with the application.\u00a0 One mailing return envelope per household is sufficient. Please provide the declaration for mailing your passport: Declaration for mailing<\/a><\/p>\n

If the passport gets lost in the mail, please do not inquire about it with the visa office but rely on the mail service that you used.<\/p>\n

The Office accepts only USPS Money Order<\/strong> payable to the Consulate General of Italy. Other forms of payment will be rejected<\/p>\n
