The <a href=\"https:\/\/conshouston.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/apostille-translation-and-legalisation-of-documents\/apostille\/\">Apostille<\/a> is a certification that will be attached to the document issued by foreign authorities<strong>. In USA the Apostille is issued by the Secretary of State where the document has been issued.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Legalization of the translation <\/strong>(or <strong>Attestazione della conformit\u00e0 all\u2019originale delle traduzioni)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To request the <strong>Legalization of the translation <\/strong>(or<strong> Attestazione della conformit\u00e0 all\u2019originale delle traduzioni) <\/strong>it\u2019s necessary:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To book an appointment on Prenot@ami (<a href=\"https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/\">https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/)<\/a> for service \u201c<strong>Legalization\/Certification of Documents<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>At the appointment bring:\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/conshouston.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Form-Legalizzazione-1.pdf\">Formulario-Legalizzazione<\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>filled out<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>original documentation<\/strong> (not the Apostille)<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>translations<\/strong> in Italian<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>USPS Money Order<\/strong> for the payment of the Consular Fees. For the fees, check the <a href=\"https:\/\/conshouston.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/altri-servizi\/albo-consolare\/estratto-tabella-diritti-consolari\/\">Tabella Consolare<\/a> at Row \u201c<u>Traduzione atti non eseguiti in Consolato &#8211; In Italiano (per foglio) \u2013 art 72A<\/u>\u201d and Column \u201c<u>USD arrot<\/u>.\u201d (be aware that the fees change on January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1). The USPS Money Order should be for the <strong>total<\/strong> amount calculcated <u>multiplying the number of translations pages for the Consular Fee Art 72A<\/u><\/li>\n<li>A <strong>pre-paid<\/strong> and <strong>pre-addressed<\/strong> <strong>envelope<\/strong> (no FedEx) with <strong>tracking number<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Be aware that is not possible to send the documentation by postal mail<\/u><\/strong><strong>.
