{"id":4110,"date":"2024-04-16T14:09:03","date_gmt":"2024-04-16T19:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conshouston.esteri.it\/?page_id=4110"},"modified":"2025-12-16T15:30:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T20:30:41","slug":"digital-nomad","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conshouston.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/digital-nomad\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital nomad \/ Remote worker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The digital nomad \/ remote worker visa is intended for individuals who are not EU citizens and who intend to work remotely while living in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The visa is only available to highly specialized workers whose careers require or exceed the requirements listed in article 27-quater of the Legislative Decree n. 286 of 25 July 1998, including careers that require post-secondary degrees or at least three years\u2019 professional training or experience. Please see page 4, \u201cQualifying Professions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The visa is subdivided into two categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cdigital nomads\u201d, who are freelancers, consultants, or other independent specialists,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cremote workers\u201d, who are employees of a company but can perform their work completely remotely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please find here the checklist of documents: <a href=\"https:\/\/conshouston.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DIGITAL-NOMAD-VISA.pdf\">DIGITAL NOMAD VISA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Office accepts <strong>only USPS Money Order<\/strong> payable to the Consulate General of Italy.
