Professor <strong>Alessandro Carrera (University of Houston)<\/strong> will present &#8220;Fellini&#8217;s Deep Time: Archaeology and Modernity in Fellini Satyricon and Roma&#8221;, an exploration of the accumulation of layers and layers of history religion and mythology in Fellini\u2019s Rome trilogy (La dolce vita, Fellini Satyricon, Roma). Professor <strong>\u00c1ine O\u2019Healy (Loyola Marymount University)<\/strong> will present &#8216;Fellini\u2019s Projections of the Feminine\u201d examining a range of female figures across the scope of Fellini\u2019s work. Moderated by Professor <strong>Thomas Harrison (UCLA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/webinar\/register\/WN_aU9FPrcvSxGmiixeRwPO5A\">REGISTER HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Alessandro Carrera<\/strong> is John and Rebecca Moores Professor of Italian Studies and World Cultures and Literatures at the University of Houston, TX and has published extensively on Italian and comparative literature, continental philosophy, classical and popular music, and contemporary art. He has written on Rossellini and is the author of Fellini&#8217;s Eternal Rome: Paganism and Christianity in Federico Fellini&#8217;s Films (Bloomsbury, 2019; Flaiano Prize for Italian Studies). Carrera has translated into Italian all the songs and prose of Bob Dylan, four novels of Graham Greene, and is currently working on the Italian edition of Andy Warhol\u2019s writings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00c1ine O\u2019Healy<\/strong> is Professor of Italian at Loyola Marymount University, where she coordinates the Italian program, directs the LMU Summer in Rome program, and currently chairs the Department of Classics and Archaeology. Over the past three decades, she has published widely in Italian screen studies; her most recent book is Migrant Anxieties: Italian Cinema in a Transnational Frame (Indiana University Press, 2019). She has also published on transnational filmmaking, Irish cinema, feminist studies, and pedagogies of cinema, and she has served as co-editor of Palgrave\u2019s Global Cinema book series since its inception in 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moderator:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Thomas Harrison<\/strong> is a professor in the UCLA Department of Italian, where he teaches Italian film at the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as modern and contemporary culture and literature.
