FISCAL CODE

The Fiscal Code (Tax Code) issued by the Italian Revenue Agency, it is a means of identification for Citizens in their relations with Italian Authorities and Public Administration. Applications can be submitted abroad by both, Italian Citizens and Foreign Citizens alike, through the Italian Consulate.

The Italian Revenue Agency will mail the Fiscal Code card to this Consulate General, a delivery time it is therefore unpredictable.

Applicants are encouraged to select the type of request carefully, using the dedicated section on the form:

Issuance of the Fiscal Code Certificate
Issuance of the Fiscal Code Certificate AND Fiscal Code card
Duplicate of the Fiscal Code card (in case of a lost Fiscal Code card)

Those who are leaving for Italy, are kindly advised to request the issuance of the Fiscal Code Certificateonly and submit their request for the card to the offices of “Agenzia delle Entrate” in Italy.

To apply for the Fiscal Code at the Italian Consular Office, the Applicant is required to submit the Application Form along with documents listed below:

Copy of a valid picture ID
Copy of Marriage Certificate (only for married women)
Copy of Birth Certificate
Copy of Driver’s License or proof of residence in the jurisdiction of this Consulate General (TX,OK,AR and LA)
Mailing:
2 prepaid self-addressed envelopes, if applicant requests a Fiscal Code Certificate and a Fiscal Code Card (one envelope will be used to mail the original Certificate and the second one to mail the Fiscal Code Card received by the “Agenzia delle Entrate”) OR
1 pre-paid self-addressed envelope, if applicant requests only a Fiscal Code Certificate.
