University of Trento: Scholarships for Master’s Degrees in International Studies (a.y. 2026/2027)

The University of Trento, through its School of International Studies, has published the admission calls for two Master’s Degree programs taught entirely in English:

  • Master’s Degree in International Security Studies (MISS) (in collaboration with the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa)
  • Master’s Degree in European and International Studies (MEIS)

Call for Applications – “Non-European” Candidates

The application deadline is March 4, 2026.

This category includes candidates who:

  1. Hold citizenship of a non-European Union country and are not resident in Italy;
  2. Hold citizenship of a non-EU country with a study residence permit in Italy and are not resident in Italy;
  3. Hold citizenship of a non-EU country with temporary protection status, are not resident in Italy, and have not obtained a secondary school diploma in Italy.

For the academic year 2026/2027, the University of Trento offers:

  • 2 scholarships for the MISS program
  • 2 scholarships for the MEIS program

Each scholarship amounts to €7,200 per year.
Tuition fee waivers may be granted to a larger number of students based on their ranking in the admission list.

An additional funding opportunity is available for descendants of emigrants from Trentino.

Call for Applications – “European and Equivalent” Candidates

From April 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026, a second call will be open to:

  • Citizens of the European Union and Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Republic of San Marino, and the Vatican City State;
  • Non-EU citizens residing in Italy.
