By Decree of the Head of the Consular Office, elections for the Committee of Italians Abroad (Com.It.Es.) have been called for December 4, 2026.
This date is the final deadline for the consular office to receive the envelope containing your completed ballot.
To participate in the election, you must register on the electoral roll by submitting the appropriate application no later than November 4, 2026.
The Committee to be elected will consist of twelve members, based on the size of the resident Italian community.
The Decree also establishes the Electoral Office, which will be responsible for conducting the electoral procedures. The text of the decree is available at this link.
To facilitate the authentication of signatures from individuals supporting the candidate lists, the Consulate General has organized two days for collecting these signatures:
- September 12, 2026 — at the Italian Consulate General in Houston (ground-floor room), from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- September 19, 2026 — at the office of the Consular Correspondent (8303 Elmbrook Dr, Dallas, TX 75247), from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
