Non-profit organizations that promote Italian language and culture and/or provide Italian language courses – hereinafter referred to as Enti Gestori – and that operate within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco may apply for registration in the Consular Register. Applicants must meet the requirements established by Circular No. 4 of March 8, 2022, which all interested parties are strongly encouraged to read carefully.
Registration in the Consular Register of Enti Gestori is a prerequisite for accessing funding under Chapter 3153 of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Registration by itself does not grant any automatic benefit or funding for the Ente Gestore. To register, the organization must follow the specific guidelines on the website of this Consulate General as explained below.
The application for registration in the Consular Register must be submitted by completing the two forms linked below, “Application Form for Registration in the Consular Register of Enti Gestori” and the “Applicant Organization Information Form”, along with the supporting documentation requested in the first form and a written statement confirming that the organization’s bylaws comply with all appropriate local (U.S.) regulations.
The complete application should be e-mailed to
The Consulate General will review the submitted documentation and register organizations that meet all the requirements set forth in Circular No. 4/2022.
