GRANTS FOR ITALIAN CHAIRS IN SCHOOLS K-12 (CHAPTER 2619/2 – 2025)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) intends to promote the Italian language and culture by paying for teachers’ salaries. Ministry grants will be disbursed according to the criteria and procedures established in Chapter 2619 of the MAECI’s Management Plan 2.

Schools interested in applying for these grants must submit the required forms and the letter through the Education Office at the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco by March 18^th, 2025. The application must include:

1. a dated and signed letter of request by the school, on the school’s letterhead, signed by the Principal or Head of Department explaining the intent of the request and description of the Italian language activities to be performed.
2. Allegato A, typed and completed in Italian, also dated and signed by the Principal or Head of Department, to request the funds.
3. Allegato A2, typed and completed in Italian, also dated and signed by the Principal or Head of Department, to report how any funds received in the calendar year 2023 were spent.
