Hurricanes Oklahoma and Arkansas

The states of Oklahoma and Arkansas have, along with the northern regions of Texas and Louisiana, a high risk of tornadoes and high winds.

OKLAHOMA

Responsibility for managing emergencies in the State of Oklahoma is attributed to the Oklahoma Department for Emergency Management , which offers the possibility of receiving real-time updates on dangerous weather phenomena on one’s mobile phone by registering at this link.

We also recommend consulting the Mesonet site, a project created by researchers at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, which provides a detailed mapping of the evolution of the state’s meteorological situation thanks to the data provided by 120 automatic stations that record the variations in all 77 counties of the state.

ARKANSAS

Responsibility for emergency management in the state of Arkansas is attributed to the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management.

The Ready Arkansas Site also provides a series of useful information in the event of an emergency situation in the State.
